| Hidy Ho! New guy here
Hey all,
Well about 3 weeks ago, I decided at the age of 41 to learn how to play bass guitar. I played clarinet & sax in JHS, but I've never played guitar. Just thought it was time to get a musical instrument back in my life.
Decided to pick up a Squier Affinity J-Bass Starter Pack on a buddy's recommendation. I didn't have a ton of cash to drop on all of the gear separately to get started, so it seemed like a good deal. I figure once I feel that I'm getting the hang of it, I'll pick up a better bass down the line. If I decide that I stink and my playing shouldn't be heard by my worst enemy, then I didn't spend a boatload of cash on it :-)
