Hola from Dirty Jersey!!

Hey TB!

first post, glad to have found this place! Came on a strong recommendation from a buddy and can't say i'm surprised. this place is great and y'all are so knowledgable. i'm 26 from dirty jersey and just setting out on a journey to learn the bass! so far it's really fun and i know very little, but i learn something new each day from coming on these forums!http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images...olors/cool.gif



brief bass bio:

a few months ago my buddy asked me to help out at his jam session b/c i'm a sound guy. anyway, their bassist couldn't come so i was taught a few basslines and turned out i wasn't too terrible. i loved the feel of the music and the groove that bass makes, so i decided to take it up!http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images.../guitarist.gif


i was using a borrowed cheap Dean 4 string for a few months and decided this was no way to immerse yourself in bass, so i decided to get a new rig.. too bad i knew squat about what to get. Then I came across Talkbass!!! This place is FILLED with so much information and supportive members who take the time to answer questions and even joke around with. Thanks to y'all, I come here for everything bass-related and now I know things like what a p bass is!!http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images...ors/tongue.gif

However, she still says "You don't need another another bass James." lol, I guess it's no different than having a regular girlfriend.

oh no problem bro, plenty of us around here are multi-instrumentalists. I have on acoustic guitar left, and I've been playing it lately, as my acoustic bass is too bulky.
