How do you fit a new bridge and pickups?

Hey everyone. I and just wondering about how you fit a new bridge and pickups to a bass, as im thinking about fitting some new one's to my Peavey Millenium BXP 4 string. Also, what would be the best one's for it. Thanks. Christoph
