Howdy,

Been playing off and on(ya'll know how that goes) for about 20 years, looking for a Kubicki ex factor, black or a redwood if anyone knows of a deal or is an owner of an idle one, I use to have a yellow one for about 10 years, sold it and got a Warwick, now have enough $ to get a nice one.

Recently upgraded my equipment.

Warwicks: Fretted thumb BO and Fretless Corvette 4 strings
SWR 900
SWR SOB
SWR 4x10 Golaith III

Effects: Digitech BNX3, jesse, this thing is gnarly, so much stuff and can take a hoky amp and make it sound super!
Cannot not say enough about this thing.

I miss my ex Factor though.
I use to live in Santa Barbara and met Phil a few times.
Interesting shop and one of the best Bass builder's around.

I'm a mix of funk and faster blues together.
Some jazz, some guitar styling with the effects, use to own an Acoustic 360 and 450 head and loved that Fuzz.

So distortion has really become an odd thing in my styles.
Freaks many folks out, I suppose that is good?

The other odd thing is the glass slide. Add that and distortion and few folks ever say they have seen that.

Many suggest that fretless will make up for that, but it's quite it's own sound in and of itself.

Try it sometime.

I was pretty happy with the Harkte equipment.
Recently sold it all and went SWR.
Use a SWR 12" WM's for practice, pretty nice but we all know you have play bass loud to really learn and feel it.

So that's me.

Tom
