Hi everybody, I'm Shawn. I'm 24. I live in New Jersey (USA), and have been playing bass since April. My current setup is a neck-through B.C. Rich Warlock NJ Series with twin P pickups through a CRATE BX-15 amp. I play mostly blues, because it's my favorite music genre and it really puts me in the zone where I'm in touch with my inner crooner (lol). I realize a Warlock isn't exactly the "right" instrument, but it works until I get my lawsuit era P bass finished.
I've been a reader of this forum since before I even picked up the bass. I used to play guitar but stopped when I lost the rest of my hearing because I could no longer hear the treble strings. Yup. You heard it right. A DEAF bass player. Anyway, I decided to register today because I'd like to become an active contributor to this community. I hope to feel welcome.
