New guy here. At least new to Talk Bass. Been playing professionaly, off and on, for 40 years. I'm retired from my main gig. I was a structural ironworker (high rise buildings, communication towers, steel bridge erection) for 36 years. Went through piles of basses and amps. Old story, I sure wish I'd hung on to some of those basses. I did hang onto a 56 Fender. Still bone stock w/OHSC and the bridge cover. I put together a '70's J with all the goodies, bridge cover, pick-up cover. I put a maple neck on it. I painted the body and headstock Olympic White. Pick guard is red w/yellow tortise shell. It's a beauty. Anyway......glad to be here. Looking foward to the discussions. Thanks guys.
