Hey People of the Thick Strings! I am really new to playing music, and I got a bass because my friend Petch told me to listen to the music. He told me to focus on the part that I listen to the most. I did that and found out to my surprise, that I am a Bass player. Jimi Hendrix is God, but I must be a Polytheist! Jack Cassidy rules! So does Les Claypool, Phil Lesh, Kim Deal, and all the other BASS PLAYERS OUT THERE! I have learned a lot since then, Paul McCartney plays bass! New to me! Bass is the Best part of the music. I thought if I ever learned to play an instrament, it would be guitar (a Tobacco Burst Les Paul!), but I was VORPALLY WRONG! The bass, any bass, feels more comfortable in my hands. I am happy to be here, thank you to all the Bass Players out there who have helped me realize that I AM A BASS PLAYER! I shoulda known, I gotta sub in my car, and I had to get computer speaker sytem w/ a sub! Who was I kidding? Like I said I have more Bass Guitars and Gear than I have skill, but I love Each one of my three basses. I have an Ovation Celebrity 4 string acuostic, a Rogue Beatle Bass, and I just got a Schecter Stilletto Studio-5. I bought a SWR Working mans 10+Extension cab from the Petch. I suck, but my equipment RULES! I am Looking for someone to teach me how to play these beautiful instraments in the Cleveland area. I am a poor Bicycle Mechanic, with little time or money. HELP!

And here I thought I was the only one with more basses than skill. Along the same lines, I was crankin' the bass control on my car stereo since before car stereos even had much or any tone control. Friends would change the tone and I couldn't understand why they wanted to listen to so much treble...ugh. HA! Have fun!!
