Hey Everyone! Im Mark, a 25 year old drummer turning bassist. I used to jam with some guys in high school, and my bassist buddy taught me some scales and I had a blast. I almost bought a bass back then, and wish I had. Since I joined the military a few years ago, I havent played the drums much, so decided to make the switch to bass.

Interestingly, I write left handed but do everything else right handed including my drumming, however a right handed guitar has always felt awkward. Since this is something new, I didn't want to make a hefty investment, and left handed basses for a beginner are hard to come by. So, I picked up a beautiful lake placid blue SX J Bass. It was $180 shipped with an amp, bag, and tuner, and best of all, its a lefty!

Anyways, its great to be a part of the community, and I look forward to learning a lot. Im sure I will have a zillion questions, and hopefully someday I can contribute some meaningful info to help others along.
