inexpensive battery powered UR bass amp

I play my Christopher UR Bass at the beach several times a week and there is no power so I need a battery operated "amp". I know nothing about electricity, amps, etc or pickups and I have scanned the various ongoing threads. And I don't want to spend more than several hundred dollars. Any suggestions? Pignose 30, Crate? Gorilla 30?
