Greetings all!
I am dusting off the skills after almost 2 decades of not seriously playing. Back in high school I played bass in band, jazz band, marching band, choir, at church, and in several garage bands (we even won some battle of the bands!) Back in 1990 I stopped playing and "went off into the real world". I've almost always owned a bass but rarely played. I am now getting back into it and this website is great. I can't believe the resources available now with the Internet. Back when I was playing it was Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazine for tabs and that was about it. I'm playing a late '90s MIM Fender Precision through an Ampeg B3 combo but am looking at upgrading to a G&L in a month (used US or new Tribute). I had a G&L L-2000 but got rid of it in 1990; I kick myself in the butt for that mistake every day ! I'm also interested in checking out a 5-string and may pick up an entry-level model (looking at the Peavey Millennium 5 BXP) to experiment with. Overall I'm just looking to have fun and hopefully soon hook up with some like-minded individuals to jam with.

Tucson is kickass! I was living in Oro Valley with the wife while she got a Master's Degree from UofA. We were there in 05/06 and then went back to VA and now in CO!

Welcome!
