Hi there,

My name's Bruno and I know nothing about bass guitar.

I picked one up last summer and have been playing with it since then, with mixed success. I mean I can play it sufficiently well, but I don't know how to 'take care' of the instrument itself and how to tweak it.

Basically I'm in a duo where the other guy sings and plays guitar (which I also play) and we also sometimes play drums, synthesizers and laptops.

I'm primarlly an electronic music composer, but for the purpose of playing live shows I chose to play bass - we still do a bit of switching around, but for the bulk of the show, it seemed logical for me to play bass.

I hope to learn more about (guitar) bass on this forum..

I play an Ibanez Soundgear 5-string bass through an SWR LA-15 combo. It's sufficient for me.

That's about it.

-Bruno

Welcome, Bruno, to TalkBass.com!

Hope you enjoy it here. There's a bunch of great people on the boards with tons to talk about.

Please take this time to review the rules of the forum, if you haven't already.

Also, remember to view the stickies at the top of each sub-forum to check for other FAQ and policies in place.

Happy Posting!
