Hello, about six months ago I decided I wanted too play an instrument so I went out and bought A squier guitar pack I practiced for hours every night for 3 months and I never seemed too make progress. I mentioned this too one of my friends that plays guitar and he said that he thought my hands were too big, and that I should try the bass. He lent me his old peavey bass from the 70's and I absolutely fell in love with the bass. I went out two days later and bought a bass guitar of my own. Unfortunately I made a mistake and bought one that looked cool without doing any research, I bought a bronze series warlock by bc rich, and I just never got the kind of sound I got out of the peavey. Since then I did some research, saved some monney and bought the Fender Deluxe P-Bass Special, its just amazing. Im really enjoying the bass because every night I practice I can discern a noticeable improvement. I am currently looking for someone too give me lessons in the las vegas area, but too be honest im not super interested in theory, I'd rather be shown some technique so I can continue too do my own thing.

Welcome Mook!

Glad you found your way to the bass. As far as lessons in your area... maybe look up talkbasser Adrian Garcia.

He's one of the best player around those parts (or any parts).
