Hi Friends in Low Places!

Jim Ferguson here, back after a few years hiatus. Just got covered up with family issues. I hope everyone's work has been good and your time steady since I was last on TalkBass!

Best,

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the welcome. Glad to be back. As for an update, I'm still teaching adjunct at Middle Tennessee State University. I've done a few limited tours with my trio or quartet. The pianist Pat Coil and I have a steady duo gig on Thursday evenings here in Nashville. I also have been working on occasion with Mundell Lowe in a duo format. We have a record in the can that I'm trying to get finished up in time for his return to Tennessee in April. We're going to celebrate Mundell's 85th birthday with gigs at the Nashville Jazz Workshop on 4/21 (his B'day) and 4/22. We'll also be doing Masterclasses and clinics and gigs around the state during that week. Thus far I have commitments from UT Knoxville and the World Grotto in Knoxville on the 18th, in addition to the NJW dates.

Mundell and I are also scheduled to perform at the ISB Convention in June in Oklahoma City. As I recall, we'll be on at 5PM on Friday June 8th.

Ed, I'll be in NYC toward the end of this month for AFTRA Sound Recordings Contract negotiations. I'll drop you a line to let you know where I'll be and when I'm coming.

Best to all,

Jim
