Just bought a bass

I'm 52 & always wanted to play bass.

So, I'm reading the TalkBass forums while waiting to get my Ibanez Soundgear SR480 from the Ebay seller.

I was a percussionist for many years. Vibes was my main instrument, but I got more gigs playing drumset.

I almost got my BA in Jazz Performance - Percussion in 1985. I'm needed 18 acedemic credits and one advanced theory class, and the school closes!

Anyway, this forum is great! I've picked up a boatload of excellent info from y'all in a very short time & I hope to be able to contribute something meaningful in the future.
