Just got my first bass

Hi Folks,

I just got my first double bass on Saturday.....

I'm based in Dublin and play mandolin.

Mainly bluegrass, blues and folk music.

Just remember two things:

1. Your mandolin is tuned in 5ths, your bass is tuned in 4ths.

2. your left fingers are going to need a MUCH wider stance playing the bass than Mandolin.

The rest is cream cheese. Except that I was raised on bluegrass, and i turned out bluegrass. GOOD LUCK!!!
