Been a bass player for years. Never been part of the forum in spite of everyone encouraging me to join! Glad I finally did. And I've been spending all of my time on the auctions and posting boards for sales / buys and bass/gear info. After 5 mins, I realized that I have been missing out for years. Looking forward to it.

Welcome. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself in these forums. I was very happy to discover TB in May.

Thanks! Yeah I am addicted to gear - buy/sell, update, etc etc. This may not be good for my health or my career.

Yeah, beware!

When I found this board a few years ago I had one bass I'd been playing for 15 years and zero effects pedals. I now have 5 basses and 5 effects pedals...and that's probably the smallest equipment collection on this board!

Seriously, it's an invaluable resource, enjoy!

Agreed! Seeing peoples' NBD postings each day makes me very happy for them... But it practically requires gluing my wallet inside my pocket for fear of becoming deeply in debt. lol Not only do people post NBD items they purchased at stores either locally or online, there's also the Basses for Sale section that makes us want to sell some non-essential bodily organs.

Seems like people really keep it on the level around here though for prices. Kind of that cumulative knowledge of what something is really worth. So that should help your health at least!

Likewise, I've owned one bass for 18 years, of which I still enjoy. I now see the light at the end of the tunnel. And the only way to get there is through GAS.

It's not the pricing that concerns me; I agree some of the best online prices are right here. It's the quantity of incredible buys available that want to devour my wallet & credit cards.

You are all funny. Maybe i should disconnect NOW. I am already a bass-addict. This may cause hospitalization.

By the way, what's NBD? Sorry, new....

Welcome!

I still have the same number of basses as when I started, but I have completely replaced/exchanged them all at least 3X.
But damn, I'm sounding good!

NBD = New Bass Day. It's a requirement to come here & post pics of your newly acquired bass.
