Hello... just joined a few minutes ago, so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I've been an on-again, off-again bassist since I was about 16. Was classically trained on the violin... did the whole symphony orchestra thing and all. But always dreamed of playing bass. Started playing guitar when I was 13 on a cheap plywood classical guitar. When I was 16, I managed to srape enough money together to buy a used Charvel electric guitar... but my mom wouldn't let me get a bass.

Did college for a couple years... secondary music ed major, but I'm just not college material, I guess. I think I was 20 when I joined a church worship team as the lead guitarist. That gig was on and off for the next 7 years until I bought my one and only bass, a MIM Fender Jazz. For the next 4 years, I played bass.. nearly every Sunday for awhile.

But that came to an end when the quality of music declined at that church. Fast forward nearly 3 years, and I am at a different church... a really big church with an amazing music budget. My worship team plays once a month, and I volunteer for extra weeks when I can.

I just recently upgraded the crappy stock PuPs to Seymour Duncan Basslines.... absolutely love those! The sound is amazing!

All the rest of my spare time goes to the duo Paraclete... which is me and my best friend. I play (jazz)fiddle, guitar, and even some ukulele. He plays ukulele, guitar, and an assortment of harmonicas and occasionally a kazoo. Our setlist is pretty diverse... what we call comfort music... Beatles, Sinatra, Carol King, jazz standards, popular favorites.

Anyway, that's me... Hope to get to know you all.
