Just an old bass player

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi folks! I'm just an old bass player that found the forum today while looking at reviews. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and bass when I was 15. Played for a gigging Top 40 country/rock band until I was 20, then layed off for 20 or so years. I've been playing again for the past 3 or 4 years and I enjoy it as much as ever, maybe more. At least, now I don't have to worry about trying to break even as a starving musician. I really want to post a review on the Godin Freeway 4 as I saw that it currently has no reviews and, in my opinion, is a great bass for the price. Look for it as soon as this old man can figure out how to post to the reviews!?

Nice Tele: One of the guitarists I played with back in the day had an early 70's blonde Tele that I fell in love with. I bought a MIM Tele about 4 yrs ago that looked and felt just like it. I know a lot of people have bad things to say about the MIM stuff, but the fact is, I'm a bass player. I really didn't want to drop $700+ on a guitar I was just going to play with at the house. Besides, the thing sounds like I remember from 20 yrs ago (sometimes age is a blessing). Have you ever tried the Godin basses? They're made in Canada and guess where the number one source of good hardwood on the North American continent is?
