| Know anything about Peavey Cirrus Preamp?

Bought a used bass. It gives me zero sound when hooked up to my amp. Replaced two batteries before starting this process. Prior owner assures me that it worked fine before it was shipped to me. The local guitar doctor says it could be the jack connection ($50 to find out) but most likely is the Preamp ($200 to replace without touching the jack). Any advice? |
