kool newbie bass lines...

Hi, I am new to bass playing and find myself getting bored with scales. I would like to hear from any and everyone about some kool but simple-enough-for-a-newbie-to-play bass lines to break up the monotony. Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated.

hmmm you could check out seven nation army, kinda boring but oh well. play some punk possibly, its usually pretty easy. hmmm. also check out any older music in general it usually has pretty simple basslines
