Before you get to paddlin' my fresh-meat behind, I guess I'll introduce myself.

My name's Ken. I'm from Calgary, AB, Canada.
I play bass in a band called The Collapse. I'm also going to (rumour has it) be touring next year with a band called The Rocky Fortune.

I play a Warwick Corvette bass. I'm currently in the market for a new bass amp/speakers, which is why I've signed on here. I'm hoping to poke around and try to learn something about gear, what's good, what's bad.

To much embarrassment, I know hardly anything about gear. I'm not much of a tech head. Science has eluded me since high school. I'm more of a plug-in-and-play guy (and don't worry, I got enough groove in these hands to go around). But now I have to learn about gear and fast.

So, I'm sure there's a gear review forum around here somewhere, please meet me over there and teach me a thing or two so I can make a wise purchase in the near future.

Paddle away ...

no initiations..... yet

Welcome to Talkbass... read through the Amps section, take all the opinions with a grain of salt. We all hear things our own way.

Welcome!!!! You'll find a king's share of gear here, but will probably trade it all at least once or twice. Great site here.
