Hello everyone, I've been reading TalkBass for a very long time, but I just decided to finally join the forum. There's such a wealth of information, experience and opinion here I've always been able to simply use the search function and pour through the results (sometimes for hours) to get feedback without ever having to ask a question myself. Hopefully I have a grain or two of some worthwhile opinion/experience to offer back, but this seems like a good community to be a part of in general, so I took the plunge.

I've been playing bass for about 13 years or so. I started off in punk rock, hardcore and metal bands, but my tastes and pursuits are widely varied when it comes to music in general and playing bass specifically. I took a year or so off from playing as I got very busy with audio engineering, but I'm back to bands again and loving it. I hope to get to know plenty of you and have some lively discussions, trade experiences and get hip to some new sounds and gear from you all.

Corey

Welcome Aboard, Amigo. This is great place to hang out and be a member. It's been great for me and I've really enjoyed being a member here. Gained a lot of knowledge, hopefully been able to pass on some of my own worthwhile experiences, and it's always entertaining to peruse the posts. You should seriously consider being at least a Supporting Member. That way, for a mere $20 bucks a year, you can buy and sell gear thru the classifieds here and it's SOOOOO much better than eBay in many ways. I just bought an American made Highway 1 Jazz bass body for a very reasonable price to build another Jazz bass with. And I've sold a couple items on here with no hassles or problems. Peace )-(

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm definitely becoming a supporting member next payday. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting forums that are worth participating in. That and I do get those chronic GAS flareups from time to time, so having another buy/sell/trade forum at my disposal is always an asset.
