I 've been lurking around these forums since about 2004, on and off (actually it's been so long I forget when I started!). Loved what was going on - became a Registered User to look at pics in threads, then decided I wanted to sell some stuff in the classifieds, so here I be!
Currently seeking a solid gig - left a good one about a year and a half ago for the birth of my daughter.
It's hard to get back onto the scene once you're out of it... In my town, if you're not into metal, hardcore, emo, whatever (i.e., if you want PAYING gigs!!!), you find that most of the good gigs are already taken!!!
So, what's a blues/aspiring jazz guy to do? I was playing in a house band hosting a jam night at a local club in the summer, but apparently the rock guys here don't dig the "Jaco tone" very much!
Most of them also really liked to play my bass with a pick - not my style (although I can appreciate it!), and they were scratching the h**l out of my Jazz...
Anyway, enought verbal diarrha from me. I'm looking forward to doing more posting here!!!
