Hi All,
I am a TA501 owner and I have found the unit to be quite versatile with a 5 string thumb bass neck through. I am having a lot of trouble keeping the unit quite while getting the proper gain and tone. I am using the D.I. into an RME fireface 800. I have to turn up the VLE to cut the terrible noise and then boost the mids and highs on my bass to compensate. I've played with the unit for hours and can only come up with a mediocre compromise between overall tone and signal noise. I can't just play with the tone without negotiating with the noise floor...
Anyone else having these types of problems? |
