MIM P Bass Truss Rod - tool to adjust

I own a MIM P Bass MZ01 sunburst and stock except for replacing volume and tone controls for chrome.

What do I use to adjust the truss rod (at the nut which is not a hex) .

Also would anyone recommend a pickup to replace stock ones that would make a really noticable difference to sound.Mine sound OK but would like to try something with a little more mids punch.Amp is a Rumble 100 210.

my brother used to hand-wind them on a gadget he built from an old sewing machine! Those were the sweetest sounding pickups. I have one...sorry...not coming off!!!
