I stopped playing my bass around 1986. I had played in local bands and then our band was hired by singer/songwriter Eric Carmen to become his backing group in 1975 and play on his first solo album. I was 21 at the time. I got burned out touring in one year and went on the a career on the business side of music which is where I am today. Oh, I played in pick up bands for a while but time challenges and eventually lack if interest stopped all that.
I've recently renewed my interest and pulled out my 1966 Precision Bass and started playing it. It needed a line up really badly so I took it in.
I also have an Ampex SB12 portaflex that I am restoring.
Who knows? I may find some local musicians to jam with and even play out once in a while.
