Hello Talkbass members,
My name is Joe (I don't work in a button factory). I'm currently studying jazz performance on electric bass at Carleton University. I'm about halfway done my Bachelor of Music, although it's taken me 4 years already to get this far - I keep having to take time off to work. It's slow going, but I'll eventually get done!
Anyway, I hope to graduate with decent enough marks to head off to graduate school somewhere and get a Masters in jazz performance.
I'm getting married this summer - that should be exciting! Although, it's one wedding gig that I absolutely CAN'T play in - Mrs. Stereo Joe would kill me.
Anyway, some of you may recognize me as a lurker/occasional poster over at Harmony Central Bass Forum (I hope that's not considered a bad word over here!) I've been lurking around Talkbass for a bit and I recognize that there are some seriously talented and well-informed people here who I can learn a lot from. Expect lots of questions!
