Is my combo loud enough?

Sign in to disble this ad
heey there, im fairly new to TB, this is my first real post, I was wondering if anybody could help me. As im the (not so proud) owner of a Laney Hardcore Max 160 watt combo amp with a 15 inch speaker.
I was wondering wiether this would be sufficient for use in small venue gigs (small bars and clubs, with a max audience of 100)

I dont really wanna rely on running it through the clubs P.A systems.
thanks

Small club, polite crowd & quiet drummer(contradiction in terms..? ): maybe
Medium-size club, drunken, rowdy crowd & your average drummer: IMO, no

Edit: And welcome to TB.

You might want to check out the links in my sig. below, Pt. 2 has lots of speaker cab info.

Lots of good used stuff available now. You might check some stores/pawn shops/craigslist type sites to see what out there.
