"Nearly vintage" P-bass owner

Hi All, just thought I'd check in & say hello. I've been playing since my mid teens & I'm now in my late 30s. I own a 1990 (possibly a 1989) Fender P-bass which is my favourite bass I've ever played. I've owned other Fenders & a few Epiphones in the past but nothing comes close. I play through a Roland DB700 which gets me a good solid tone whilst just about being portable. I'd like to get a double bass at some point this year (my wife promised I could back in 1994 & I'm holding her to it!). Anyway a few pics as I'm sure you like to share. Every battle scar is accounted for & mine. It's been gigged pretty heavily but I try to take care of it.

I've played rock & alt.rock in my youth and drifted towards country as I've got older. I have a lot of admiration for the funk players but it's not for me. I like the bass player to be the engine driver without the playing being boring.

I'm here for advice & tips & I've picked up some good info already. Cheers BB
