New to Bass, New to TalkBass

I finally took the plunge and joined the ranks of bass guitar players. Found an Ibanez GSR200 at a local pawn shop for $120. Waiting on the money to get a pedal so I can practice with headphones until I can get an amp.

My main focus will be Praise & Worship and Contemporary Christian that we do at church and my son writes. I decided to learn to play bass because that is what I sing. I figured it'll be easy for me to hear bass lines and hopefully I can get good enough to play what's in my head.
