New bass player from France

Hi,

I just started bass a week ago. I've been playing guitar for years, but, hell, bass is so much more fun !

I'm 31, I live in France and my bass is a Danelectro 63. I'm still looking for an amp (I'll post about that).

I don't have any specific plan to play with a band so far, but I guess I pretty soon will.

A big chunk of the music I like is from the sixtie's, jazz, soul, pop, funk... Not much of a rock fan.

I like a bunch of stuff in the indie music nowadays. I think the best thing that happened to music in the last few decades (not to say ever) is The Polyphonic Spree.

And I hate the 80's.
