New to bass playing and talk bass

hello fellow bass players new comer here. I was wondering any tips for a new guy on how to self study no money for lessons. i know the basic chords and such. i was wondering about scales. i was googleing it but i cannot get a firm understanding of what i was reading any help? websites etc.. taht could help this beginner out? Mods if I'm in the wrong place to post this my deepest apologies.
