New to the forums and bass!

Hey, how's it goin? Long time fan, first time poster I've always been a fan of bass guitar in music, and not too long ago was interested in playing after I met my roomate in college who plays guitar and I just wanted to make sweet, sweet (heterosexual) music with him. So I just bought a 2005 Fender Standard Jazz Bass on Ebay (mexican), and uh, look forward to bein a part of the community.


Can't think of any questions at the moment, I think I'll browse the forums a bit and see what I come up with.

This place is great - I've been hanging around here for the past year or so (although I registered a while before that) and this place is great...you can talk about Basses, Amps, Guitarists who think they're god and arriving at gigs to find out they won't let you play unless you let the scariest/hairiest biker there sing "Stand by your man" (metal style, obviously...or else they'll hit you) at an indie gig (Humour and gig stories) Drummers who are annoying the manager by their enormous kits (Band Management and performance) - and also about how your pet tortoise somehow got stuck down a grid (misc. Off topic).

Basically if you've got any kind of question - post it up here and SOMEONE will be able to answer you - its really cool...

Anyway...got any pics of your bass? (sorry, but the rule for some people here is "No pics - No bass"... - we like pictures of gear as you've probably noticed from hanging around... )

P.S. theres a good game going on called "Song Uno" in Misc. - its pretty good fun...
