Hi Folks,
I found the forum while doing some price research for some gear I was thinking about selling. I've been playing for about 20 years -hard to believe and makes me feel old. I love playing though I don't do it enough these days and not at all since I cut the tendons in my left hand ring and middle fingers -ouch(Also the reason I was considering selling some stuff). I should be healed in a couple months and will be practicing to get back to where I was and push on to new places.
I've only played professionally one time when a friend's bassist got locked up and they needed a fill in for a tour. I loved touring -we played 15 shows in 16 days from Chicago to California then back home to Georgia. It felt really validating when he asked me to tour again -like I was good enough -a bit of self doubt I always had. But the girl I was dating at the time threw a fit, so another tour was a no-go. Looking back, I wish I'd gone since we split soon after that. Ahh life lessons.
I hope to pick up some stuff here and pass along anything I can. I've worked as a luthier and repaired alot of vintage guitars/basses, amps and effects, so hopefully I can contribute.
