New guy... but doesn't play bass!

Instead of bass, I've been slowly moving downwards while playing guitar. At this point, though, my main electrics are eight-strings, and all of them include the range of a four-string bass.

I've realised that, over time, the majority of the good information I've found through Google, regarding gear which would work for the instruments' range, is coming from TalkBass. Since I've been relying on TB.com for so much information, I figured it was high time to register. Unfortunately, I've little great knowledge to contribute, and will probably lurk while letting much more knowledgeable posters clarify things for the rest of us.

Thanks for being members of such a great forum, and for contributing to such a great community.

Cheers!

Thanks for being here! Can always use a good solid guitarist. Have you ever listened to Mads Erikson? He's Norwegian, phenomenal. He does albums differently, some rock, some classical, some country-ish. He teamed up with the guy from Alan Parsons who over-rode everything---total waste of time-don't know why Mads did it. Oh, and Mads can shred like you would not believe.
