New guy, old bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

I'm a drummer who was always fascinated with bad-ass bass players. Last year my step-father passed away and I inherited a 1964 Fender Jazz Bass. The day I picked it up, just out of curiosity, I couldn't put it down.

Now, I'm learning and I love it.

I discovered your forum today and decided to join.

In retrospect, I wish I'd been interested in playing bass while step-dad was still alive (he was an amazing Jazz musician), so I hope to get some of that wisdom from the old dogs around here.

Cheers,
Oli

Welcome! You'll definitely gain some knowledge here, no doubt. And the occasional hatful of poo.

Oh, and the rules around here are, especially with a sweet bass such as that: no pics, no bass.
