Hello I have been playing for about 2 years.. and I just cant seem to get anywhere the music I like is all really hard. So I'm here for help

by the way... when you say you can't get anywhere, do you mean that you'd still consider yourself a beginner, or are you more intermediate but at a "plateau" in your playing skill?

oh... and i'm into Rock. heavy Rock, like Zeppelin, Melvins, Big Business... and then indie stuff like the Shins, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai... and then 20th century classical.... and Mr. Bungle... all kinds of stuff, really.

ah. the plateau, then! have you considered taking lessons? and if you are taking lessons, have you considered switching to a new teacher?

no, im currently just trying to learn by myself. and i feel like giving up alot of the time. i cant seem to get the sound right or timing. or anything.. I know what should be played when reading tabs.. i can read along great with the music.. its just when i pick up the bass it doesnt sound right or anything :S

well... i'd say browse through the different sections here. you're bound to find tons of very helpful info. also, use the search function! (it's located at the top of the page.) i use it all the time when i have a question... it usually gets answered, and i also pick up alot of other awesome info along the way.
