Hey everyone, just getting into the rhythm of this site and checking as regularly as I can.
Name's 5-string, and I've been playing bass for about 7 years now. Grew up playing piano, was a band geek in high school specializing in saxophone, and then I got away from music for a bit after high school. Joined a band in college initially on sax, then keyboard, and then I picked up the bass on a whim one day while we were jamming... the rest is history.
Played in several bands over the last few years since I started gigging seriously in late 2009. I've played in a hard rock band, a roots-rock band (whatever that means), in a couple of acoustic rock bands, contemporary gospel bands, and i'm currently in a funk band.
