Hello All,
I have been negligent in posting my introduction but wanted to do so since I have benefitted greatly from this site and forum.

My name is Mark, I am in my late 40's, and I have been playing bass since high-school and seriously since the early 1980's.

My playing and writing style has been influenced by artists who come forward with their emotions out front. I play finger and pick styles and love chording an drone notes.
I am not a complex player, but love good and interesting sounds. I couldn't slap bass if my life depended on it, and honestly except for some old school funk, I am not a fan of this style. It seems to be used in a similar way to peacocks opening their feathers...while sitting in guitar stores...but I digress...

My essentially retired group The New Creatures occupied many years of my life. And now I am trying to construct a new musical situation that gets back to the joy of playing and writing as opposed to chasing a career. After a long time I am loving music again.

Thanks all, I am happy to be here.
