New member needing advice

Hi I'm a new member. I would just like to say hello to everyone. I am searching for a good 5-string bass to play shows with. I think I have narrowed it down to a shcetor or G&L. I played a Fender Jazz 5-string and in my opinion the spacing was horrible, the strings were too far apart. I want something that sounds good and is a great step up from the 4-string Ibanez soundgear I'm currently playing with. I also don't want something that weighs a ton. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

I have played a StingRay V for the past 5 Years as my ONLY gig bass.

I just bought a Fender MM V this week to switch it up, But the SringRay has been the workhorse sometimes 4 nights a week, I can't say enough.
