Hello everyone,

I just joined today after lurking for a month or so. I started playing bass around 1987. I have been in a few bands that went no where beyond local back then, like the rest of us. Band names: Kaotic Conflict, Jacky Paper, Citrus Cow (still have hopes to revive this name) and Rumble. Since that time, I went to 6 strings and played Metal and Punk style for years. Lately I was having the itch to get back into playing bass after a buddy of mine said he might want to expand his solo acoustic blues rock gig. I wound up falling in love with 4 strings again.

I used to have a 100w GK head (model unknown) with a yamaha 15" cab. I lent the head to a buddy of min Joe about 15 years ago. I haven't seen it since. I was stuck with a 10w and 20w Crate amps, the 20w with a blown speaker. My guitars are a left handed Aria Pro II and a right handed Series 10. The Aria needs to get set up as the neck is out since I haven't played that one in about 15-17 years. The Series 10 is still playing well. My excellent wife surprised me with a new GK MB112 bass amp for Christmas that arrived today. May the house rumble with low tones!

So thats my story in a nut shell.

TB is aweswome. Get that new amp adjusted and your basses tuned.

We look forward to your expertise, and input.

Thanks for your post and welcome to TB.

Welcome. I'm a newbie too.

Your wife sounds like a keeper by the way.

Thanks for the warm welcome. At this point I can only fill you in on being a bassest 20 years ago. I am long out of it when it comes to equipment, processors, effects, etc. This is the first piece of Equip I bought in probably 17 years. 2 Acoustic guitars, 3 Electric, and 2 basses plus 5 amps and a ton of old effects stuff.
