I've been around for a few months, Lurking!. Checking out the forums on DB. Here I found just about everything I was looking for as far as info on getting a double bass. Now to look for things I wasn't looking for and didn't even know to look for. Been playing for 40 years on EB. Started off in my dad's combo-orchestra in the 60's. Doing Saturday gigs all over western minnesota, SD and ND. Pretty much jazz standards. Hit college and had to give up the jazz. Was in a few fusion rock bands in the 70's and 80's. Last five years have been back playing the standards with a group of guys I've known forever. Great fun! Must get a DB though. Been searching for months. Got it narrowed down to a hybrid Hawkes. Anyway, Hello, Yah, good to meet you, you bet! |
