Hey guys, I've been a reader of this site for a couple weeks now and just decided to sign up.

I'm 21 years old and am the bass player/lead singer for Campbellsville, Ky's only punk band. which means we pretty much gotta travel to play anywhere haha.

but yea my dad started teaching me bass when I was 7, and I started to probably get serious about it when I was about 12 or 13 i'd say.

oh, and my favorite bass players are probably, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee and Matt Freeman.

but yea, good to be here. look forward to chatting with some of ya's!!!

welcome! which part of TB do you think you'll spend most of your time reading/posting?

i used to spend a lot of time in technique. these days i've been browsing the effects forum more.

I could see myself mostly in the technique and basses parts. I love trying to get better, I also love drooling over basses I wish I had haha.

I am new to this site and new to the bass. I had been thinking about taking it up for quite some time, but was afraid to make the commitment. I started playing just before Christmas last year. Playing in a band is not in the cards for me; I just wanted to see if someone my age could learn another instrument. I am in Fort Madison, IA. When I get some more time, will post some more. Dave
