Hello, all!
I've been playing the bass for almost 2 years now. I figured I'd get more playing gigs than with my cello, which I had played off and on for almost 25 years. I'm currently playing in an "old school" heavy metal band. Our songs are influenced by Maiden, old Metallica, Sabbath, etc.
I have a dean bass that I trade for a guitar I wasn't playing. It's done the job so far, but really is a POS. I'm looking to get something new, especially since we're going in to the studio to record an EP. Been overwhelmed by trying to figure out what to get! Budget is limited, but I've been leaning towards a Schecter. I've liked they way they play and feel.
Hoping to learn a lot here about stuff you can't read about in books, ie string choices, differences between pickups, setups, etc! |
