Just a short note to say Hello. I'm new to posting on TalkBass. After playing electric bass for over 20 years (yikes!) I just got my first upright! It's a 3/4 size J. Balaton (made in Hungary) that I got used from a local violin shop. I played a lot of jazz in college and I'm hoping to get back into that genre after many years of playing rock and oldies covers and rock originals. I'm tired of hauling big rigs and PAs around to gigs and I'd like to try to join or start up a jazz trio to play in nice restaurants around my home in suburban Atlanta.
Anyhow....rock on!
