Hey all, I have been lurking for a few weeks so I figure it is time to say hello. My name is Josh and I am hailing from Olympia, WA. Currently I am playing with a few friends and we are in the process of learning Pro Tools so we can start recording.
I enjoy all types of music, but I lean towards Folk and Roots music the most. I started out as a guitar player and am working hard on finding the bass' role in those genres of music, and also the struggle to sing and play fingerstyle at the same time. Any tips?
For gear I am playing an SX P-bass with a Headphone amp at home, and an Ampeg in our storage/jam space. I am pining for a G&L ASAT bass, but will settle for new p/ups in the SX for now, probably a SD 1/4 pounder.
