Hello!
I'm a long-time (15+ years) guitar player taking my first real steps into the bass world. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks trying to find the ideal bass to get started on, but decided to build one out of parts instead. The information I've gleaned from here has been a tremendous help! Although, I have a thread in the Luthiers Corner with a few questions
I've always plucked around on my various bass players rigs over the years and picked up some of the basics. Gonna be a long road, but I do have a music degree (for the theory end) and a good right hand (from playing classical). Combine those with all of the excellent people and expertise on this forum and it should be a fun ride!
