Hi folks, I just found this site, after a lot of browsing for bass stuff. I'll probably have a lot of dumb sounding questions so I hope you'll all be patient ! I've been playing the upright for about three years, with no help from anyone, which is tough sometimes. There aren't a lot of bass players, especially upright players, around here. My main interests are in bluegrass, country and folk but I personally think the jazz bassist are the eptiome of bass playing. I say that with all respect to all other bassists of other genres !!!!! At the present time I'm looking for help in learning the walking and slap techniques, so if any of you folks can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it !! |
