newbie hello to all

from Texas. playing bass about 30 years. love Blues music. wife thinks I have too many guitars and basses...like you can have too many guitars and basses. maybe I have G.A.S.

It always helps to fill out your profile as much as you feel you can. Helps other members figure out where you're coming from when you have a question or make a comment.

Also, there's kind of a friendly, de facto division of the board between bass guitarists and double bassists. That can become a bit confusing if you should step over to the other side without realizing it. (E.g., frets=positions; fretboard=fingerboard; action=string height; saddle=bridge (sometimes); bridge=tailpiece (sometimes), etc.)

But quite a few guys play both BG and DB, so jump in wherever you want. And welcome, again!
