Newbie here with an acoustic bass issue

Sign in to disble this ad
hi to you all, maybe like a lot of people I stumbled on this site whilst looking for help, so maybe someone out there can offer me the benefit of their experience.
I play a Stingray5, which, of course, needs no introduction about here, but recently I was tempted to buy a Fender acoustic bass (GB41 SCE). Here's what's vexing me - played acoustic it's fine, plays great, nicely balanced, but, plug it in and it seems like the bottom two strings are turbo-charged while the top two are struggling to be heard, does this ring any bells with anyone? does it just need set up properly? I'm no tech-head, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers and greetings to all from Bonnie Scotland.

You'd be better off asking in the "Basses" forum or the "Pickups" forum.

There are people in those two that could diagnose your problem.
